Who We Are

I have always loved cooking, almost as much as I have enjoyed eating. Columbia, My hometown, has afforded a great variety of foods to try throughout the years and inspiration to cook them myself. Barbecue has been one of the great influences in my journey. Through out the Midwest and beyond I have always sought out the barbecue that made a city unique. I have enjoyed some really great dishes. Then it occurred to me that Columbia, in the middle of Missouri, is also in the middle of the great barbecue cultures of America.

Asian Red Peppers - $9.99
It's a collection of Red Peppers from across the Asian continent, primarily featuring the Korean Gochugaru chile pepper. Korean Gochugaru (GO-choo-GAH-roo) has such a dynamic and balanced flavor profile, it smells sweet with a subtle fruitiness but tastes savory with a very mild level of heat, it's most commonly known to spice up Kimchi and other stews within Korean cuisine. Gochugaru is traditionally treated with a small amount of salt as part of the drying process. Although we love Korean Gochugaru just by itself, we wanted to add a little more heat and some contrasting flavors. So we add in minority portions of Thai Chile and Tien Tsin to provide some traditional Asian heat. These two chile peppers are commonly found in your favorite dishes such as Pad Thai, Kung Pao, Chow Fun, and Pad Kee Mao (AKA - Drunken Noodles). Then we threw in just a tad of Ghost Pepper to provide some additional smokiness and increase the heat
American Stockyard Texas Hill Country BBQ Sauce - $7.99
A kettle-cooked blend of cayenne, ancho, chipotle and guajillo chilies, tomatoes, apple cider vinegar, and a touch of molasses round out this unique Hill Country-style sauce. Drench burnt ends, ribs, brisket or your favorite BBQ meats in this decadent sauce.
Four Pepper Blend - $9.99
A fiery blend of Habanero, Jalapeno, Arbol, and Ghost pepper. Big heat and bigger flavor.
Oakland Dust Pork Rub - $12.99
My signature blend was originally crafted for pulled pork, but also works well with ribs or simply grilled bone in chops. The combination of Smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic, ancho chili and spices will make you a contender in your next cook off! I suggest Sloooooooooow smoking with this one!
